CONSERVATIVE B, with only four men, still managed to burst West Devon C's bubble with a thoroughly deserved 3-2 win on Thursday in the Tavistock Snooker League. It looked good for West Devon early on though as Williams glided past Ewings to put them two up. The worm turned though with Con B's skipper Andrews producing a strong display to dispose of Rich with some superb potting. Con B were soon level with Lillicrap making short work of Pennington. The winning frame for Con B came with Dolan staying the course to overcome Elliott.

With Con A not having a fixture, Tavy A took full advantage to jump in to second spot in the league with a convincing win over West Devon B. Tavy skipper Stewart powered past Smith with Woods doing likewise over John Rich to put Tavy 2-0 up. Hoar made it three beating the tenacious Gilchrist with Hoare making it four for Tavy with a tougher battle over Bath. It was Roger Rich who spoilt the Tavy party extending his superb run to grab the black to oust Grylls and save the West Devon blushes.
