THE first of the Pony Club area competitons took place earlier this month at The Duchy College, Stoke Climsland, with two days of show jumping.

Seven members represented Spooners and West Dartmoor PC in the novice competition —Emma Manton riding Mick Dundee, Lauren Gregory with Pashas Pride, Megan Groom with Gigi, Jess Harrison with Barnaby VII, Charlotte Clark and Shaugh Man, Lucy Allen with Jacks Jill and Thea O' Callaghan with Eddie.  

There was an excellent team spirit among all the pony club riders.

The team of Megan, Emma, Lauren and Jess won fourth place out of 19 teams and Jessica took individual first place.

Success continued the next day Spooners and West Dartmoor PC's intermediate team of Lily Spry on Molly, India Lewis on Something Nice, Kelcey Pillage on Master Mayhem and Verity Moorhouse on Moonlight winning  a superb second place.
