AN INDIVIDUAL Stableford competition for the Anniversary Niblick was held on Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club

The winner of division one and the anniversary niblick was Evan Rees with 41 points on the back nine from, in second Ian Moore. In third place came Alan Stokes with 40 points.

There was a very exciting battle for first place in division two with five players all coming in with 37 pts. After countback first position was awarded to Rob Camies, second place went to Graham Pengelly and in third was Mark Curtis.

Division three was won by John Haley with 40 pts. Second was Tom Wilson with 36 pts after countback from in third Stephen Tonge.

On Sunday the club held its first Mixed Open competition of 2012. This was a four ball better ball team event and despite some challenging conditions an enjoyable day was had.

First visiting team was won by Mr and Mrs B Newman and Mr and Mrs K Chapman from Stover Golf Club. First combination team was won by Colin and Jayne Wayman (Exeter Golf and Country Club) and Paul Prouse and Lyn Hazelton (Okehampton Golf Club).

The overall winners with 74 points were Ben and Debbie More (Exeter GC) and their partners Matt Gazzard and Abbey Turner (Okehampton).
