aMORE than 150 primary school pupils turned out at Duchy College at Stoke Climsland to compete in the final race of this year’s Duchy College Performance Sport Cross-Country League.

Pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part in one and two-mile courses from East Cornwall schools including Stoke Climsland.

The runners were collecting points for individual medals as well as the overall School Cross Country League trophy. a

This year the league was won by Stoke Climsland School, followed by Tregadillet in second and Launceston Windmill in third.

Course co-ordinator for sport at Duchy College, Ryan Le-Doux-Lucas, said: ‘The organisation of the cross country league is well worth it and I would like to thank all of the runners, teachers and parents for their continued support with the cross-country and we look forward to seeing you in September for our fourth year of races.’
