DOZENS of runners turned out to participate in the Lydford Dash on Saturday.

The race, which starts and finishes at the village fair, is a five mile multi-terrain course which takes in spectacular views and on such a warm day, refreshing river crossings.

First male home was Ben Neale of Tavistock Run Project (TRP) in a time of 27.53, followed by Tavistock Athletic Club’s William Dax and East Cornwall Harriers’ March Smeardon.

First female home was TRP’s Rachael Malthouse in a time of 34.54, followed by Claire Otte of ASC Damsford and Joanne Page of Okehampton Running Club.
