THE three top scoring dogs in each class from Devon and the three top scorers in each class from Cornwall met at the Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog Society trials in 'Champion of champions.'

It was held at Middle Merripit Farm, Postbridge and rounded off the the season competing in Maltese Cross and a driving course with turn back. It was very windy and although it was not a long field the drive was tricky and the lambs could be difficult.

Results: Maltese Cross - champion was Norman Delgarno with dog Roy; 2, Ged Watson with Cap; 3, Ged Watson with Jay.

Driving double gather - chaampion, Ged Watson with Sweep; 2,  Jim Nicholls with Joe; 3, Ged Watson with Mirk.
