Devon and Exeter division two
Chagford 1
Clyst Valley Reserves 3
DESPITE taking a tenth minute lead through Oscar Emanuel's fine finish, and dominating for the first 20 minutes, Chagford conceded needless goals again. With a half-dozen regulars again missing, fears were that the home side would struggle but these appeared dashed early on as Luke Mortimore collected a long clearance, slotted the ball into Emanuel's path for him to carry it into the area and score.
A little later the two combined again only for Mortimore's goal to be written off for offside. Valley were to settle eventually in the half but it took two missed tackles on the edge of Chagford's box to allow Barlow to lob Scarry and equalise.
The second half was but ten minutes old when Boulton sent in a speculative shot that eluded Scarry after taking a slight deflection. The goal put a spring into the Clyst players' step and their hosts had to respond by attacking, with the danger of being caught on the break. So it was in the 80th minute as Melluish netted a third for the visitors.
n Chagford are away to Colaton Raleigh this week, with the Reserves at home Exwick Village.
