FOUR goals from Andrew Davis were the difference between two teams struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Davis snatched a first half hat-trick, with two goals set up by an in form Jai Minett. He then came up with a fourth on 70 minutes with a nice side-step round Elmore 'keeper Matt French.

The visitors had pulled back a goal soon after half-time when White pounced to tap home from close in but Minett's superb free-kick soon after gave the incentive back to Chagford.

Elmore refused to yield and were duly rewarded as Lait bundled the ball home for his team. Both teams included a crop of youngsters and were playing attractive football, Chagford's being more incisive. Will Hutchison's salmon like leap and powerful header in the last minute set the seal on a tremendous win, gaining three vital points for the home side.
