There was good scoring in Tavistock Golf Club's men's Whitsun Bowl with David Turnbull coming in with a net 63 to top division one and win the trophy.  Second was Rod Hillman net 68 and third was Dave Burge with net 70.  In division two Mark Rawles had a net 72 on count back from Viv Wilton and, in third place, was Patrick McMahon with net 74 on count back from Barry Milligan and Tony Cooper.  Mike Allen was first in division three with net 68, second was Lee Bartlett with net 69 on count back from Steve Fowler. The club's lady captain Bridget Luckham had ideal golfing weather for her Prize Day.  Played off 3/4 handicap the competition this year had a shot gun start. Belinda McSherry was first in the silver division with 36pts, second Dawn Dennis 34 pts and third was Hilary Picton with 32pts.  In the bronze division one Julie Harding scored 32pts, second Sue Pratley 28pts and third was Sally Timpson with 27pts.  First in bronze division two was Val Facey with 30pts, second Ginny Samborne 27pts and third with 27pts was Jenny Kay.  Jenny was also nearest the pin on the seventh and Angela Trembeth was nearest the pin in two on the 14th.
