Tavistock firsts v Seaton
TAVISTOCK travelled to Seaton on Saturday, hoping to back up their win against leaders Barton the previous week.
The visitors batted first. Daymond and Grey put on 55 for the first wicket with Grey making 37. Young Will Scott-Munden contributed a good 28, but wickets then began to tumble, and at 115-6 Tavistock were in trouble.
Yet again Sean Cleave came to the rescue with a superb 55 and, along with dependable Richard Edelmann, who scored 26 not out, took the score to a respectable 218-7.
James McGahey and Dominic Snyman soon put Seaton on the back foot, reducing them to 23-4, from which they never recovered. Both opening bowlers took three wickets each, and they were backed up by Barriball and Daymond who took the other four wickets between them.
Seaton were shot out for 90 with extras totalling 40, being the only black mark for Tavistock bowlers. A really good win against a strong side.
