COTEHELE Quay Gig Club rowers took part in the 21 mile The Great River Race on the River Thames. The club had entered three gigs with a record number of 47 gigs participating in the race.

Cotehele had a ladies' crew coxed by Dave Clarke, a social crew coxed by Dave Ward and a mixed crew coxed by Dave Egerton. The three crews performed very well. The social crew came in at a respectable 2 hours 52 minutes, the mixed crew crossed the line at 2 hours 45 minutes and the ladies' crew 2 hrs 34 mins — the third fastest ladies' crew in the race and the fastest ladies' gig crew.

The ladies crew in Cream of Cornwall were Jane Fitzsimons, Jules Buck, Fiona Macinnes, Olivia Martin, Kate Fowle, Carolynne Clarke, Kelly Elvidge and Dave Clarke.
