BOTTOM of the Tavistock snooker league Conservative C lost 2-3 in a hard fought battle with Conservative B but are now only one point adrift of West Devon C with a game in hand.

Conservative B went two frames up courtesy of close wins for Andrews and Evans over Craze and Jago. So far unbeaten Crowl replied for the C team with a black ball win over Dolan with Neale backing him up with a good win over Ewings to draw the C team level.

The deciding final frame was a scrappy affair finally taken by the B teams Lillicrap but not before he was taken to the wire by a good effort from the C teams Hoare. With a game in hand the C team will be looking for a big effort in their last two games to try and haul themselves off the bottom of the league for the first time in the season.
