FOR a second successive season in the Tavistock Snooker League Alan Lillicrap for Conservative B and Dave Treble of Golf B faced each other on the green baize in January.

This time it was no trouble for Treble and he easily brushed aside Lillicrap 34-48 for an opening win.

It was up to senior Lillicrap, Bob Lillicrap, to restore a bit of Con B respect in the second frame and he comfortably beat Golf A captain Alan Pope 64-33 with a commanding performance.

Con B captain Steve Ewings took to the table next against Golf B’s Danvers Hough. Hopes were not high on the Con B side with Ewings boasting a 100% loss ratio, but strange things happen in snooker and he proceeded to beat Hough 66-15.

Spurred on by this result Martin Mckechnie claimed the match to punish Thomas White 69-23. White showed enough ability to suggest things will get better.

Last up was Paul Lyall whose run of three successive wins came to an end against Paul Congo, eventually losing 37-58.
