IN the Tavistock Snooker League top of the table Conservative A entertained second place Tavy A with the leaders running out 5-0 winners.
Carruthers, first on, turned on the style, hitting a 'purple patch' with a 41 and 30 break consigning Tavy A's Horrell to his seat for most of the frame as Carruthers amassed a huge 100 points score line.
Evans followed with a robust win over Tavy's Hoare who could find no way back against his opponents 22 break. TavyA s Stewart, playing his first game of the season took Con A's Longden right to the wire before Longden potted a cracking pink and black to nick the frame.

Tavy A 's Grylls produced a solid performance but it was the Con A's Watters who got stronger as the game went on to give his side a 5-0 win.
Conservative Z newcomer Hackney dealt an early blow to their aspirations by dispatching West Devon A's Emptage in a close fought black ball game to give Con Z the lead. West Devon capt Heathman just managed to see off Fitzsimmons in another tightly fought frame to equal the scores. Con Z's McKechnie, struggled against an on-form Kevin Rich who made snooker look easy.
Con Z's Symons threw caution to the wind against Taylor and in his timely first win of the season drew the scores level at 2-2. The final frame was a serious 'nail biter' between West Devon's Hall and Con Z's John Dodd. Hall's tenacity paid off to give West Devon the game.
