Conservative A sent out a warning to West Devon A and Tavy A that they are still in the Tavistock Social Club snooker league race with a timely 5-0 win over West Devon B on Thursday.
First on Carruthers had an easy win against a unusually quiet May, while Cook made it two for the Con A with a right old grapple with Bath, with Cook finishing the stronger of the two after a tight start.
The return of Watters to the Conservative A side, following a five year sabbatical, took his team to a 3-0 lead but not without several scares from John Rich who played a good solid game, testing Watters all the way to the last couple of colours.
The last frame was yet another tough one with Con A's Evans and West Devon's Roger Rich trading 'blows' neck and neck all the way.
The frame swung Conservative A's way with Rich making a hash of a 'free ball' situation to allow Evans to break the grip and take the frame.
With only four men, West Devon forfeited the final frame giving Conservative A's Folley the easiest win of the season and 5-0 to the cons.
