A HORSE racing evening on behalf of the Devon Air Ambulance and local football team takes place at the Tavy Club in Tavistock on Friday, September 14.

Hosted by Sally Perkins at the Tavy Club the event gets under starter's order with the first race at 7.30pm. There will be an eight race card and already these races have been sponsored by local businesses.

Allen Lewis of the Tavistock Specials said: 'Horses are "for sale" now at £5 per horse. There will be a buffet and a raffle so please come along and support this evening. Last years was a huge success and great fun!'
