THE Tavistock Community Football Club started quickly and passed the ball around superbly.

Tavistock's first goal came from a through ball from Becky McMullin which was met by Sarah Martin; she took the ball down the right hand side before cutting inside on firing a left footed shot into the bottom right.

Some good work from Kirsty Jones on the left encouraged her to cut inside to unleash a shot past the oncoming keeper into the back of the net.

A backwards header from the University midfielder failed to be cleared and the quick thinking of Becky McMullin meant she picked up the ball and scored a right footed drive past the keeper.

The next goal came soon after, when some good work on the byline from Kirsty Jones, who played the ball across the face of the goal for substitute Sarah Blowey to fire in from close range. With the wind in Tavistock's favour, a long kick from goal keeper Gemma Small was not dealt with by the University defence and Sarah Martin capitalised past the oncoming keeper.

A foul on Kirsty Jones on the left led to a free kick from Sarah Blowey who placed her shot past the keeper.

Just before the half time whistle, a left foot shot from the outside of the box from player of the match Becky McMullin was parried by the keeper and Sarah Martin followed up to complete her hat-trick.

The University started much more brightly in the second half and held Tavistock well.

However, a strong run down the right wing from Sarah Blowey led to a good ball across the goal for Sarah Martin to score her fourth  at the front post.

Martin completed her fifth soon after by capitalising on a through ball and unleashed a right footed shot past the keeper. The visitors scored their consolation goal from a corner.

The return of the injured Donna Weeks saw some promising attaching movement and she got her reward by scoring a left footed shot across the University keeper.

The goal scoring was completed by midfielder Robyn Hammond who scored a long range shot into the roof of the net.
