AN amazingly tight finish to division one of the Launceston and district snooker league saw a great win by Calstock F. The Calstock side triumph by just one point over last year's winners Launceston Conservative A and it was their first victory after playing in the league for many years. On the very last match of the season any one of four sides could have won the league, with Lifton A and Colin Park also in with a shout. Calstock always looked to be in poll position and secured the title with a 4-1 victory at home against Kelly Bray. Wayne Smith of Launceston Conservative A won the division one singles title defeating Andrew Baker of Colin Park 4-1 on the finals' night at Calstock Social Club. With Josh Sanders he also took the doubles title defeating their team mates Matt Eales and Jim Kelly 3-0. Luckett, who narrowly missed out on the division two title, did, however, triumph in the Knockout Cup, beating the division one champions Calstock F 3-1. The cup winning Luckett team was Andy Williams, Geoff Howlett, Simon Berriman, Andrew Pengelly.

League champs Calstock F (Viv Scoble, Malcolm Floyd, Daryl Edmonds, Viv Wilton and Aaron Royston).
