THE Ladies' Bronze and Silver Open was played at Yelverton last Thursday. Despite the recent heavy rain the course was in superb playing condition for this individual Stableford competition.

The winners' trophies were originally presented to the club by Mrs P Hall and Mrs W Kelly, both former lady captains.

The best silver player with 34 points was Caitlin Evans-Brand from Yelverton, winning the Hall trophy. The best bronze player with 37 points was Lesley Wooley from the East Devon club, who also won the Kelly Cup.

Achieving two twos is quite unusual and this honour went to Gilly Jarvis from Tavistock.
