BRIDESTOWE Cricket Club held their annual dinner at the Arundell Arms. Club president John Leonard proposed the health of the club and Gavin MacDougall presented the awards to the most succeessful players in 2012.

Gavin was himself presented with the club man of the year award by the chairman, Neon Reynolds, who congratulated him on all he had done for the club — particularly financially and also on his work in re-introducing junior cricket coaching in Bridestowe this coming season after a gap of some years.

Well known local player Scott Tremain, an accredited coach, will be in charge of the juniors on Friday evenings from mid May onwards. Both boys and girls, aged more than seven, will be most welcome unaccompanied but younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
