HATHERLEIGH Bowling Club is situated just beyond the town's community centre in Bowling Green Lane.

It's a friendly club with a club house, complete with a bar and lovely green to play on, say its organisers.

During the summer months it holds a club evening every Monday from 5pm, and its members play in the county trophy, shield, Friday night triples, over sixties and friendly matches with other local teams. In the winter, its large club house enables members to play short mat bowls with two rinks.
