Tavistock Titans won their second game of the season, bouncing back from their opening defeat with a dominant victory.

The basketball team secured their first win of the season on Thursday (October 22), with an impressive performance away against Kitto Platypus.

The Titans were determined to respond to their opening defeat, with a clear plan, defend hard, put pressure on the opposition’s scorers and run the break.

The team took an early lead, maintaining this throughout. With relentless energy, strong defensive pressure and effective transition play, Tavistock cruised to a fantastic 23-point victory.

Stand-out performances included man of the match Adam Howgill with excellent rebounding and relentless hustle. Michael Morris made a huge contribution organising the team on court and leading with assists.

The victory gives Tavistock plenty of momentum heading into their next fixture. With two games played, the Titans now sit at lost one and won one for the season.
