IN the Okehampton Ladies Netball League the Bluebirds beat the Honeybees 22-10.

The conditions for this match were far from ideal with rain and wind making it difficult for the players to control the ball. Bluebirds settled first and had the most of the play in the first quarter. In the second Honeybees got on the score sheet; however, Bluebirds seemed to be coping better with the slippery conditions.

Honeybees played a great third quarter scoring more goals than Bluebirds however in the fourth Bluebirds rallied again and despite some great defending from Honeybees, Bluebirds shooters continued to lead the way.

A well played match by both teams with the score not truly reflecting the play.

IN the Okehampton Junior Netball League this week Gems showed their maturity of play and experience by beating Gummy Bears and Smarties.

They commanded play during both of their matches, however undeterred both the Gummy Bears and Smarties raised their game and demonstrated some great passage of play displaying much promise for the future.

Results: Gems 33 Gummy Bears 2 (players of the match Rebecca Eustace          and Molly Cooper; Gems 36 Smarties 2 (Emily Quick and    Alicia Luddington).
