NEARLY 60 local young BMX riders took part in the fifth annual Tavi Trails Jam on July 18 at the Trails Jam on the Plymouth Road.
Around 80 people turned up to support the event hosted by Vicki Lloyd of Tavistock Youth Café and Andy Boyle and Chris Hardy of Dartmoor Cycles. There were competitions, such as best trick, high jump and long jump — held throughout the day with prizes provided by Dartmoor Cycles and its suppliers.
Participants and spectators enjoyed a barbecue and live music provided by local band 3’s A croWd.
Tavistock Youth Café raised around £280 and organisers plan to run this event again next year.
