Tavistock Swim-ming Club gratefully received a grant for more than £800 from the Cooperative Community Fund at a recent cheque presentation.

Community fund board member David Stanbury said: 'We are pleased to be able to support Tavistock Swimming Club and assist with the purchase of essential equipment. The Cooperative Community Fund wishes the Club all success in the future.'

The cheque was received by the swimmers at a recent event at Meadowlands. Club chairman Neil Marks said: 'We are grateful to receive support from and to be associated with the Cooperative Community Fund.

'Their grant will assist us in improving our equipment and our ultimate swimmer performance.'
