YELVERTON Tennis Club had much to celebrate on Saturday when it marked 30 successful years. The club held a celebratory evening at the War Memorial Hall in Yelverton where members enjoyed a band, disco and barbecue. It was on June 2, 1984, that it officially opened two tennis courts and a clubhouse in Meavy Lane (which was actually then a garden shed) on the War Memorial Field at Yelverton.
