THE Plymouth Harriers Six Moor Miles running race has provided a real boost for a local charity.

The race took place last year and started and finished at the Leg O'Mutton corner at Yelverton with more than 200 runners taking part. Many were from local running clubs — Bere Alston Trekkers and Tavistock Atheltic Club. Tavistock AC won the team prize.

Claire Hart, the race secretary for Plymouth Harriers Running Club, said: 'We supported a local charity called The Archie Lincoln Trust and presented a cheque for £500 to the charity. This charity was set up by some of our members to support local bereaved parents who lose a child due to premature birth.'
