THE Bere Alston Trekkers were out in force over the weekend to support the Tamar Trails 10k.

Starting and finishing at Tamar Trails, Gulworthy, this undulating woodland course enjoyed fast, flat stretches at the start and a two-mile flat finish, with just a few hills and some mud in between.

First over the line for the BAT men was Martin Head in 54 minutes 31 seconds followed by Ben Saul in 1hr 0 mins 11secs and first BAT lady Debbie Ashton in 1.01.17.

They were closely followed by Tanya Argue 1.01.31, Melissa Pinfield 1.01.47, Shaun Hingston 1.05.28, Samantha Harte-Latremouille 1.06.42 and making her debut in a BATs vest Michelle Jonus 1.06.52 and Hilary Head in 1.15.18.

Earlier in the week, Martin and Hilary Head ran the Godolphin 10K in Cornwall (part of Freedom Racing’s Summer Sessions) finishing in 52.34 and 1.11.19 respectively.
