Bratton

BELSTONE travelled to Bratton Fleming for their latest league match and for eight overs of their innings there was little sign of the carnage to come as Phil Woods and Scott Tremain added 21 careful runs.

But then opening bowler Ollie Hunt got one through Woods' defences and followed up by trapping Richard Drake leg before the very next ball. In the next over he did exactly the same thing, bringing balls back down the slope to clean bowl Ryan Dennis and Chris Walpole, giving Hunt superb figures of 4-12 from seven overs and Belstone struggling on 29-4.

First change bowlers Neil Ayre (6-2-8-2) and Pat Crane (6-3-11-3) continued to pose problems with Crane also taking two wickets in two balls as three of the lower order added to the duck list.

Only Tremain, seventh out for a battling 21 in 23 overs, and Matt Dennis (14) reached double figures as the visitors were all out for a paltry 74 well before tea.

Man of the match Hunt also opened the batting, and, once he had been dropped in the covers, proceeded to dominate the reply, hitting nine fours in an undefeated 44 as Bratton Fleming cruised to an eight wicket win.
