ALTHOUGH only competing in two races this weekend, Bere Alston Trekkers still spread their wings far and wide.
Ben Neale travelled to Berkshire in preparation for the forthcoming Boston Marathon to compete in the Reading Half Marathon amongst a field of nearly 20,000 runners. In fine conditions he finished in a time, just short of his personal best, 1 hour 17 minutes 35 seconds.
While Ben travelled to a different county, Jason Burns crossed the channel to undertake the Paris Marathon.
Amongst a field of 35,000 runners, Jason completed the race which takes in most of the major Parisian landmarks and a lengthy section is along the banks of the River Seine.
As a bonus, all runners are served with red wine and cheese at the 35k point! Jason completed the race in 4.26.33.
