TAVISTOCK down hill and enduro cyclist Ashley Mullane has joined the Mondraker Bikes UK gravity team for the 2014 season.

Ashley, aged 29 and a vehicle technician at Abbey Garage in Pitts Cleave, has worked his way up to the elite category putting in many podium finishes. A popular face at Chip Shop and Gawton DH tracks Ashley spends most of his time in the woods riding and training when not at work. He is looking forward to putting his 2014 Forward Geometry Foxy and Summum bikes to the test.

Ashley said: 'I'm really happy to be riding for Mondraker this season. I've been riding a 26" Foxy and Summum Pro Team for a number of years but the new 650B wheeled Foxy is on another level for grip and speed,' said Mullane.

'The Summum Pro Team has proven on the highest level of competition and is one of the fastest bikes on the World Cup circuit over the last few season. I just can't wait to get out riding and racing on both bikes this year.'

He has already won the second round of the 2014 Race Face Circus of Dirt Enduro series.e.
