Devon and Exeter division three

Offwell 0

THE home side started on the front foot and put all sorts of pressure on the South Zeal defence but, as in recent weeks, the visitors excellent back four held firm.

Slowly but surely the South Zeal forwards started to expose the Offwell defence.

South Zeal took the lead after 15 minutes when Redd Cann won the ball in midfield and hit a great 30 yard pass to Harley Cann who beat two defenders before going round the keeper for a simple finish.

One up at half time the game was still in the balance as Offwell pushed forward for the equaliser but their attacking threat was now being easily handled by the visitor and after 10 minutes of the second half Zeal went two up when Tom Reilly combined with Lee Gilbert to put Harley Cann away down the left and his pinpoint cross left brother Redd to finish from close range.

Harley Cann made it 3-0 soon afterwards after Dan Wakeham put Redd through and his cross was converted from close range.

Redd made it 4-0 five minutes from time after Daniel Gibbs played him in on the right and Redd chipped the keeper to give South Zeal an emphatic win and another three points.
