THERE were a record number of entries at the finals at the Yelverton Tennis Club championships.
The tournament, organised by Lynne Macfarlane, culminated in a hugely successful afternoon of finals matches.
The finalists of the tournament were then presented with engraved Dartington wine glasses.
Former club chairman Simon Murray made a presentation to juniors Matt Smith and Tom and Matt Chiappe for their achievement of obtaining the maximum number of points in the Summer League.
Mr Murray thanked Yelverton's coach, Roger Froud, for all his hard work, exceptional coaching abilities and commitment to the club which has resulted in some superb achievements by the juniors including Lucy Scott.
The tournament organiser, Lynne, was thanked for her patience, hard work and excellent organisation of a successful tournament by the chairman, Vince Keep.
