MOUNT Kelly achieved a massive haul of 38 medals at the recent ASA South West region youth championships which is the school's best performance at this competition.

Fifteen Mount Kelly age group records were broken over the weekend, seven of these in relays which shows the current strength and depth of the team.

In addition, 17 year old Megan Bowen broke Sharron Davies' long standing 200m freestyle open Mount Kelly record setting a new best of 2.03.51.

Gold medals were won by Megan Bowen in the (400m freestyle), Ben Staig in the (50m backstroke), Julian Chan Quee Lin in the (400m freestyle, 200m fly), Reece Worth (200m abd 1,500m freestyle) and Molly Peters (200m breaststroke), Finn Linton (100m backstroke)

Silvers medals were won by Megan Bowen (200m and 800m freestyle), Taku Chaza (50m backstroke), Alex Seymour (400m freestyle, 400m IM), Reece Worth (400m freestyle and 200m IM), Ben Staig (50m fly and 100m backstroke), Jacob Gibbons (50m and 100m fly)  Tom Brew (400m IM), Harry Hathaway (400m IM), Molly Peters (50m and 100m breaststroke), Finn Linton (200m backstroke), 

Bronze medals were won by Finn Linton (50m backstroke), Harry Hathaway (400m freestyle), Julian Chan Quee Lin (200m IM), Dani Baker (100m backstroke), Nina Giudici (200m fly), Jade Stocker (50m and 100m breaststroke), Alex Seymour (200m backstroke), Michael Alcorn (50m breaststroke).

Relays: Silver  4 x 100m and 4 x 200m freestyle and 4 x 100m medley senior girls team; silver, 4 x 100m medley junior boys team; bronze  4 x 200m freestyle senior boys team

The Mount Kelly coaching team were incredibly pleased with the team's performance and will now look to build upon this at the ASA SWR Age Group Championships this weekend in Bristol.
