THE weather held out for The Lamerton Hunt’s point-to-point races at Kilworthy on Sunday.

One of the oldest courses in England, racing has taken place there since 1925.

The hunt race was won by Robin De Souza, ridden by Darren Edwards. Robin De Souza was unbeaten in four races this season coming in to the event.

The Yvonne Watson memorial open maiden was won by The Conjurer, who ran well at Ottery in the lead-up to the Kilworthy meet.

Master Baker won the mixed open, a race contested by only two horses, while in the confined, Cinevator ridden by Ella Pickard managed to beat 11-8 favourite Reliable Richie.

Upto Ollie won the restricted, while in the final intermediate series qualifier, Winter Soldier ridden by John Mathias, won ahead of Mausefalle and Le Clo De La Londe.
