TAVY A were back to their winning ways in the Tavistock Snooker League as they put a 4-1 dent in the recent good form of the Golf B team.

Golf B’s Gawman produced a fine display in a free flowing game against Dent, but to no avail as a 33 break from Dent proved too much to recover from. Anderson (junior) soon had Tavy A two up as he removed Treble, only for Appleton to reduce the arrears as he capitalised on a limp performance from Tavy’ As Lyall.

Golf B’s Hough wished he had stayed at home as he came across Evans in one of his imperious potting moods; a 48 break from Evans, and it was all over.

Likewise Golf B’s Congo came up against Anderson (senior) in one of his imperious moods, as the later romped home in no time at all.

Hooper of West Devon B took control of the first frame of the evening against Wright of Conservative Z team and refused to relinquish his hold on the game despite Wright’s attempted fight back, first blood to West Devon.

Daniel Rich, however, could not maintain the momentum against McKechnie (junior) who performed prodigiously to maintain a healthy lead against his opponent and take the point for the Conservative Z.

Gilchrist for West Devon B did his best to keep up with Mayors but failed against his opponents superior potting skills and safety play on the night.

McKechnie (senior) for the Conservative Z had a tight game against Roger Rich but fell at the last hurdle and it was 2-2 going into the final frame.

Hodge did what was required for his team and his slow and methodical dismantling of Boyd took the final point for the Conservative Z, and the match.
