ZYG and Rose Gregorek had a none too successful time while representing team Anglers Paradise at the Marlin World Cup in Mauritius. Zyg, who has competed in the competition six times and been the winner twice, got off to an awful start. Firstly, on collecting his luggage in Mauritius the rod case containing his big game fishing gear had been severely damaged. On the first day an expensive watch was ruined. A replacement watch only lasted two days before the strap broke, Zyg was then the object of jokes, continually being asked what the time was. Rose suffered food poisoning, and on the last day of the competition before fishing had started and with everything still to compete for, a crew member lacerated his hand, resulting in the boat having to return to the harbour in order for the crewman to receive hospital treatment. Zyg said: ?Not one of my most successful competitions, but a thoroughly enjoyable time none the less ? that?s fishing.?
