A ZUMBA party was hosted at St. Andrew's School, Buckland Monachorum, recently to celebrate the end of the first year of its Spanish Family Learning Club.
Everyone was treated to a fun and energetic Zumba Fitness session, led by instructor, Colleen Harrington.
Freshly cooked paella, prepared by chefs from La Tasca restaurant in Plymouth, was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
The learning club is part of the aims of the Comenius Regio Project, started in the school last year, to improve pupils' knowledge of Spanish language and culture and to create family and community Spanish learning opportunities.
It is also aimed towards the development of the European key competencies for lifelong learning.
The club has been a great success and a new weekly schedule is planned for next year, starting on Monday, September 17, in the school hall.
