ZEAL went through to the next round after a thrilling finish to this encounter on Saturday.

During an equal first half both teams could have scored at least three goals with Zeal missing the easier chances and Collins in the Zeal goal making some good saves.

In the second half the Zeal defence were coping better with the opposition's attack and it was no surprise when they took the lead after 15 minutes when Cann vollied into the 2000 net following good work between Bellairs and Hiscock.

David Wooldridge was replaced by Alan Vile after 20 minutes and he put Zeal two ahead with some good work in the penalty area and a great finish giving the opposing keeper no chance.

Zeal sat back, Team 2000 came more into the game and scored two goals within the space of ten minutes to make the scores equal.

Zeal were now on the rack and only great defending by their defence marshalled by Wonnacott kept them in the game.

Just as it seemed extra time was inevitable Hiscock broke down the right and hit in a great cross that Pillivant vollied into the net for the winner.

This Saturday home to Thorverton 2.30pm kick-off, Sunday away to Folly Gate , Okehampton Cup. 2pm kick-off.
