South Zeal United 1 Westexe 0 ZEAL took the lead after 15 minutes when a good move down the right saw Redd Cann?s shot from the edge of the penalty area rebound off the visiting keeper to Darren Gilbert who finished well from close range. It now seemed that Zeal would go on and win the game easily. However many chances went begging and the home side managed to keep Westexe at bay and start the second half still a goal to the good. Zeal created some good chances that were not converted and although they were the better team they nearly paid the penalty several times as Westexe threw everything at them in an attempt to get something out of the game. However Zeal held firm and could have extended their lead several times in the final 15 minutes but in the end were happy to hold on for a 1-0 win. This week home to Woodbury KO 3pm.
