A EUROPEAN inquiry into the foot and mouth crisis will be hearing the views of people in Okehampton with an unofficial visit to gather evidence from a senior Euro politician next week.
Dr Caroline Lucas, a Green MEP, who has been appointed vice-chair of the European Parliament's committee of inquiry into foot and mouth is making a visit to Devon next Thursday, May 23.
The purpose of the visit is to compile information and views from a wide range of individuals and businesses. A public meeting is being held in Okehampton at which the public can voice their views informally to Dr Lucas.
The meeting will be held at the Charter Hall in Okehampton Town Hall, on Thursday, May 23, starting at 7.30pm.
