ON behalf of Dartmoor Community Meningitis help group, I would like to give our grateful thanks to Tavistock Town Council for allowing us to use the Meadows to hold our fun day on Sunday.
We raised £93 for Meningitis Trust, in spite of the weather. I would like to say a big thank you to the Tavistock Times for sponsoring the fun run which due to bad weather had to be postponed for a few weeks, but watch this space, it will be held later.
I must give thanks to Tavistock Lions for doing the PA on our behalf and for the loan of the barbecue. Thanks must also go to the Plymouth Morris men, who came and entertained everyone and even seemed to drive the rain away!
I would like to thank Mrs Hicks who judged the dog show, our traffic warden who went in the wet sponge stall, and lastly but not least to Chris and Anne at Bere Alston fish and chip shop for providing the rosettes for the dog show.
It is only by kind and thoughtful people such as those who have helped our event in many ways this devastating disease.can be fought.
Thank you once again.
