TEN impoverished African families will become proud goat owners thanks to the efforts of a group of Stoke Climsland children. The goats, which will be bought with money raised through a variety of plays, cake and craft sales, will provide each family with milk and kids, which can be sold to provide essentials like medicine and schooling. The youngsters, who all attend Stoke Climsland Parish Church, were apparently inspired by the Christian Aid Campaign ?How to Recycle a goat,? which aims to teach people about the improvements that a simple goat can bring to the lives of African families. The group had originally intended to raise funds for a single animal, but their fundraising proved so successful that ten were eventually bought.
