OKEHAMPTON Youth RFC presentation evening was postponed due to foot and mouth but was still keenly supported by players and parents of the seven youth sides.
Awards were: U10 clubman, Richard Friend.
U12 clubman, Tom Carter; player of year, Nick Beal.
U13 player of year, Simon Cox; most improved player, Robert Clark.
U14 player of year, Luke Webb; most improved player, Scott Hooper.
U15 player of year, Richard Parnell; most improved player, Tom Davies.
U16 players' player of year, Peter Herrod-Taylor; player of the year, Eddie Mann; most improved player, Simon Medlyn; coaches award for sport and endeavour, Peter Herrod-Taylor.
Top points scorer youth was awarded to U13 Richard Bolt.
U16 coach Andy Ewen stepped down from youth coaching after his second period of six years to take charge of the new season's Colts XV. As a memento from his side, captain Josh Taylor presented him with a framed photograph of the side.
In addition, he was awarded an honorary life membership of the youth section of Okehampton Rugby Club for all the energy and effort put in over the years.
