TASTY treats were on offer in the food pavilion and show regulars Devonshire Farmhouse Ice Cream, based near Chagford, were on hand to add some sweetness to the day. Owner Jain Bennett took over the production side of the Higher Murchington Farm business three years ago, but Devonshire Farmhouse Ice Cream was originally set up by the Vincent family 30 years ago. The company supplies ice cream and clotted cream to Gidleigh Park, Darts Farm and a variety of farms, hotels and local shops in Chagford. Jain told the Times: 'We make the clotted cream in the traditional, old-fashioned way and have our own Jersey and Guernsey cows to supply the milk. This is our fourth show and it's absolutely fantastic.' Jain was pleased after winning firsts at the show for her clotted cream and double cream.
