A West Devon family band raised the roof of Harrowbarrow Village Hall at a recent evening of rock.

The band, Yorkie, Patsy Herring, Adam Herring and Tim Buchanan, pictured right, entertained audiences along with the adult rock school and the children's rock school, run by Adam and Tim.

The event was well supported and visitors enjoyed pasties supplied by Ginsters and buffet extras.

Patsy said: 'Our thanks to Claire and Jackie for help in heating and serving pasties, to Pauline and Mary on the door, Mike with the raffle and John and Jan Morgan, Rosie Ferick, Jenny Ball and Mike James, joining us — Yorkie — on stage at the end of the evening and to all clients at Libra Hairdressers for their donations and raffle purchases. With all the raffle proceeds we raised £216 for ShelterBox.'
