YELVERTON Golf Club ladies played a November Medal and silver salver round one. The division one winner was Caroline Theyer, net 75, and the runner-up Trudi Luke with net 77. In division two the winner was Sheila Brookbank, net 76, and runner-up Kay Creaven, net 83. Round two of the silver salver had to be cancelled due to fog.

n AT the Yelverton Golf Club on November 3 the male veterans held a pairs competition. Joint first were Christian Prosper and Nick Ring on 41 points; second was Roy K Taylor and Colin George on 39pts while third were Ray Hutchinson and Phil James.  In the veterans three ball on November 10 the winners with 71pts were Eric Whyte, David Hanley and Bill Davison; equal second on 70 were Steve Read, Phil James and Bob Griffin along with David Kiver Brian Medhurst and Brendan McVeigh; in third on 69 were Roger Mechan, Bill Ednie and Ken Bray.
