West Devon U11s cup

YELVERTON U11s beat Plymouth U11s in this cup quarter-final. Plymouth batted first and moved on to 52-1 after 10 overs. Yelverton then came back and a run out in the 12th over followed by two wickets by Jacob David-Ward resulted in Plymouth's top four batsmen being dismissed by the end of the 15th over. Tight bowling by George White and Adam Talbott (including a double-wicket maiden) restricted Plymouth to 94-6 after 20 overs. The principal Yelverton bowlers were Adam Talbott (2-12), Jacob-David Ward (2-14) and Ben Grove (1-14). 

Pierce Widdecombe and Ben Dunlop opened the Yelverton innings and moved the score onto 47 before Widdecombe was ran out in the the nine over; shortly after Dunlop had to retire having scored 25 runs. Ralph Lopes and Ben Grove continued to stay ahead of the run rate and Yelverton reached the required target in the 18th over to win by nine wickets.
