A TEENAGER from Yelverton had his head shaved last week to raise money for charity in memory of his grandmother.
Two years ago, Oscar Burnard, 15, lost his grandmother to Alzheimers which greatly affected him: ‘It hit me hard — I wanted to do something to help prevent other families going through this,’ he said.
Oscar, a student at Devonport High School for Boys, decided that to make a difference he would shave his head and raise vital funds for Alzheimers’ Society UK.
To date, Oscar has raised £550 for the charity — and the total is still rising.
