THE Yelverton Ladies held their annual Christmas lunch last month but not before they took part in a 13 hole Stableford competition before sitting down to dine.

After lunch, the ladies were invited to choose a wrapped gift from the array of festive parcels. The winner of the competition was Belinda McSherry with a total of 28 points.

This was followed by the announcement of the 2009 winners of the major county competitions and some remaining club awards.

The results of the county competitions: Devon County LGA Stableford 2009 silver winner, Trudi Luke, runner-up Margaret Flanagan; bronze winner Christine Longden, runner-up Verna Isaac.
